Matching "Giada" Post-Modern table lamps designed by Pier Giuseppe Ramella for Arteluce and manufactured by FLOS of Italy. Frosted glass shades with a tapered enamel base. The original manufacturer's label is on the base. Large and bottom heavy with double lighting, these lamps can be lit in three ways using two bulbs to give low light, top light, and full light illumination. Created in Milan. CIRCA: 1980. DIMENSIONS: 24" high x 19.5" wide (the shade) x 6" deep (base).
The lighting maker, Arteluce, was one of the companies at the heart of the creative explosion in postwar Italian design. The firm’s founder and guiding spirit, Gino Sarfatti (1912–85), was an incessant technical and stylistic innovator who almost single-handedly reinvented the chandelier as a modernist lighting form.
